Level 1 Adv Skills - $1000
2 Days Course
Off-road skills don’t happen overnight. We want you to feel comfortable when you transition from the pavement to the dirt, and our training will help you build the finesse required to adventure ride safely. Breaking down each movement into easy-to-understand steps is the key to our training. The Triple Threat—or clutch, brake, and throttle—is one example of our focus on the fundamentals of controlling the motorcycle at slow speeds. By re-learning how to precisely control the actions of clutching, braking, and throttling, you’ll maximize your riding capability using this core principle. The Triple Threat is the backbone of our training program, and it carries over into every exercise we do. One thing is for sure…you will have a lot more confidence, the necessary tools, and refined skills to help you “Ride your Ride.”

Level 2 Adv Skills - $1000
2 Days Course
Continuing from our Level I class and/or building upon the skills you have already, this 2-day training class further refines your control of the motorcycle through the mastery of “The Triple Threat” – the Clutch, Brake, and Throttle at slow speeds, over terrain and during tight maneuvering. Body position is critical in Level II training and will be explained and practiced at length.
Level II Training is for life-long learners; those who realize motorcycling is a perishable skill. At the end of this two-day training event, you’ll be ready to ride more technical trails, further gain confidence and become a better rider. Practice is still key, however. Ride with others who have good riding techniques, display safe and considerate motorcycling etiquette and encourage you to “ride your own ride”.

What a fabulous weekend
What a fabulous weekend; one of the best "vacations" of my life. I attended all four days (Level 2 and Level 3), staying in one of the tent sites. Others stayed in yurts, campers, or drove in daily. Showers are available and a new lodge is under construction. Ben Dragoo's instruction (DART) was mature, practical, and well structured. Jamie and James were excellent assistants. As a new rider of only a few months, I came in with only self-taught (YouTube) skills. I was also limited to what I could apply on roads and trails in my area. Other participants had decades of riding experience. I was initially very intimidated, but the program guides students through a progression of skills that elevate both noob and mature riders. I've done a number of technical skill trainings course over the years, including as student and instructor for rock climbing. Too often instructors present an ideal or limited scope of acceptable technique or equipment; everything else is "wrong." For example, a friend of mine was taught that you need a specific (awkward) posture when standing. Or, instructors may insist that bar risers are always wrong. If you just follow "their" rules, you are doing it right. Ben's approach was more relaxed; "ride what you have." This carries through the whole program: practical, approachable, non-judgmental, and patient. This reduces stress and helps participants focus on skill building without shaming from an instructor. The out-ride to the Uinta National Forest on day three of Leve l3 training was the final, in-situ application of all the training. It was a wonderful experience. Grit Moto Adventures ranch is a great facility with constructed and natural terrain that provide safe and effective training stations. Kari's support was excellent. Thank you for putting all together.

6 stars if I could!!!
GRIT, Kari and Ben were absolutely amazing! They are patient when the struggle got real, which several of us were in need of. It does not matter if you are newer to riding off road or have been riding for decades, you will learn some new skills! I highly recommend this course and will be back for the level 3 course.

Utah 6 Day Tour
Riding GRIT Moto’s Fall 2024 Utah! Homebase Tour was an absolutely incredible experience. The roads, the back country off-roads, the landscape and scenery of Utah in the Fall, the accommodations, and the support were all phenomenal. The six day ride included everything they said it would; adventure, camaraderie, challenges conquered by perseverance and team work, and a feeling of accomplishment once over. The rented Yamaha Tenere 700 was one tough powerful bike; perfect for this adventure. Our guides for this tour, Ken (lead), and Curtis (sweep), were great and a joy to hang with after a long day of riding. And boy, do they have stories. It is hard to put into words how great Kari (SAG truck driver, GRIT principal, support dog owner) was. She went above and beyond my expectations for this tour every single day. When it comes to Adventure riding, she is the most passionate person I’ve ever met. I’m sure this passion will drive the success of GRIT Moto Adventures and the GRIT Moto Ranch. Finally, to ride this with my brother, who I had not ridden with in many decades, made this a ‘beyond priceless’ experience. Thank you, GRIT!
